Hang in there Mark! We still continue to pray for your recovery!! I know the day to day can be frustrating, especially the not knowing. Doesn't that go along with many things that people wished they knew or understood? It isn't about the knowing, but instead about the trusting... Hard to do though when you aren't the one in "the know".

Thank you for acknowledging this with depression. Mental illness is not a taboo.

I have been in a bible study (with women) as we have been studying BETH :MOORE series on 'Davids Heart'... This past week the study was about Amnon raped his own sister, Tamar. David did nothing for Tamar and Tamar suffered her entire life as she went in total isolation her entire life... I am sure she live in depression her entire life - never being FREE inside.

I too wore these same shoes... the only difference is that I kept trying hard to walk forward (not matter how difficult) with my memories and thoughts... My most difficult times have been living under complete shame and condemnation of myself....

I have walked in PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and clinical depression (Suicide) most of my life. REJECTION has been always hard for me inside as whenever I have felt rejected I spiral downward. This has been a real battle within my own life.

The things that have helped me have been:
1. Spending time talking to the LORD daily
2. Reading God's Word daily (washing the darkness away with TRUTH)
3. Committing in a good solid Biblical sound church for fellowship and God's word.
4. Having a true Christian professional counselor whom understands in helping me move forward.
5. Finding 'safe' friends whom will walk beside you and not reject you or condemn you. I found this through a women's bible group within our church.

I no longer am a VICTIM but today I am walking forward into HEALING, FREEDOM, and a SOUND MIND in Christ Jesus as I am an OVERCOMER...

Thank you for not being ashamed of people as myself...

The Pharisee mindset would be to place us outside and be done with us.. but JESUS would want us to RUN to Him as He would embrace us...
